One fateful day I discovered the phrase face to face with the sky scrawled in purple paint on a pier. It’s from the poem “Time and Again” by Rilke. Year after year, I’ve found this phrase capture the feeling writing gives me: ineffable, yet something I have no doubt fellow writers and creators will understand.
